When a new Bowman product is released one of the most frequent questions I get is, “how long should I wait to buy singles?”. Which is a tough question to answer because there isn’t an exact answer. Especially with a product like Bowman that drops during the season, there’s always a chance that a player’s stock will increase from the time of the release and the time to buy was the day it came out. For the most part that is not the best way to do it but cases like Eduardo Quintero, Kevin McGonigle, Luis Pena, and Josue Briceno do happen. All four of those prospects currently have a higher priced base autograph than they did one week after the release of 2025 Bowman. So when we’re talking about Bowman, the answer to the question is ‘whenever you feel the price is too low’, which is obviously tricky to navigate. For the other two Bowman releases however, Chrome and Draft, they come out during the Minor League off-season which gives us time to wait and let the single prices cool off before we buy any. How long should we wait? I think I may have found an answer.
