2025 Bowman NEW RELEASE Overview
Pre-order pricing, full autograph checklist breakdown by team, and my initial thoughts on the product
It’s Bowman season! Pre-orders officially started at noon today on the Topps website for its newest release 2025 Bowman. It should come out in early May which gives us plenty of time to sit back and wait. I always say that this is both my favorite and least favorite Bowman release. It’s my favorite because the checklist is always phenomenal, and this year is no exception. You get the high draft picks who were held out of last year’s Bowman Draft product AND you get really good international prospects. It’s the only of the three Bowman releases that blends those two together well and because of that it is almost always my favorite checklist of the year. The negative is that it’s the only Bowman release that drops in the middle of the minor league season. Why is that bad? Well for one, there is too much time between now and release for a prospect’s stock to go up or down. Quite often I am honing in on somebody undervalued and then they have a hot month leading up to release and it drives up everybody’s interest. Also, because of the timing of the release it’s the only product where you can’t always wait to buy singles. I almost always recommend waiting at least a few weeks after a product is released to buy singles because you have to let the market cool down. With Bowman being in the middle of the season, certain players can actually go up from release if they’re playing well. All in all, it’s a tricky product to navigate so I’m going to dive into the checklist and try to provide some insight on which prospects you should be looking forward to.
